good The large carving set has a carving knife and a carving fork in the pattern, "Silver Flutes", produced by Towle in the early 1940s.
The plain handles have a twisted "flute" down the sides. Both pieces are marked "Towle Sterling".
The knife has a deep tempered stainless blade and is still in its protective jacket. The fork has 2 stainless tines and both pieces are in good condition.
The carving knife is 13 1/2 inches long and the fork is 11 1/2 inches long. They both have protective guards to prevent slipping and cutting of hands and fingers!
Great for carving the turkey at Thanksgiving, the Christmas ham or the Easter lamb! But they are useful all year long!
