Still Life Oil Painting, Exquisite, Floral, Red Roses Painting, good Vintage Painting, 16" by 20"

Most wonderful still life painting ever! Look at the beautiful bouquet of red roses, the jewelry box with jewels, the beautiful books and pocket watch and the blue velvet purse (or is it a blue mask?) There are so many charming aspects to this vintage oil painting and that is what makes it so special. Every piece of the painting is wonderfully done. If you look carefully in the background there are some lovely trees. It is unframed and on stretcher boards. The painting measures 16" by 20". There is no signature.

This painting looks like it was painted on a previously used canvas -or on a canvas that was going to be something else. You can see the outline of sketched mountains and river on the back of the canvas. I'm so glad they decided to do this gorgeous still life instead! I am guessing this is from the 1940s. There is no date, so could be older (probably not newer).

The condition of this painting is exactly how you would want it. There are some chips and crackles in the paint, but the canvas is not damaged. It has good a wonderful old world look.
