Up for sale today is this South Dakota state line sign. Made to the exact state standard used from in the late 1960s and the 1970s. This sign was found at all state lines for many years, welcoming people to South Dakota - it has been supplanted by more modern variants but a few examples still are around, here and there.

An original of these is not only very rare to find scrapped, but is a herculean effort to transport; many still enjoy their active service on the highways. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without chancing legal trouble... or a hernia.

The sign is flat printed with completely accurate layout and fonts. he state line signs in use in the field are much more colossal - this one is a precise rescaling of the freeway style sign down to a much more manageable 33 x good 21.75 inch or 22 by 14.5 inch size. it is a non-reflective sign - perfect for ordinary display, indoors or outdoors. (if you would like a larger size version,please ask as I can certainly make one!)

This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
