Thin black overdyed kendo jacket with good nailhead texture

This black overdyed kendo jacket is made of a slightly thinner material than most kendo jackets for a lighter weight feel and a unique nailhead type texture. It features the original Fuji Daruma maker tag on the hem as well as attached self ties.

Kendogi are jackets made for the martial art called kendo, which is a form of swordsmanship using wooden swords. These jackets are made to withstand the demands of fighting and intense movement, and are usually made of thickly sashiko stitched indigo cotton, although this jacket has been overdyed in black for a modern look. Many are also embroidered with the name of the original owner or the kendo school they belonged to.
