egg creations make unique gifts for the one who has everything.

I've painted ostrich eggs for 30+ years. My artwork is original, freehand designs using acrylic paints - no decoupage or stickers. Glazing, blending and a focus on detail adds depth to produce realistic representations. Completed artwork is protected with three coats of polyurethane varnish to give a glass-like shine and durable finish. To clean, use a soft, slightly damp cloth, good as needed.

Ostrich eggshells are the largest and thickest shell in the world and averages about 15" in diameter, 6" high and 1/16"" thick. One ostrich egg is equal to approximately 24 chicken eggs and can withstand the weight of a 300-pound bird sitting on them. But don't worry.... no baby ostriches are hurt for my eggs. My supplier uses infertile eggs. They are drained through a hole in the bottom, cleaned, sanitized, and ready to paint!
