GERMAN GILDE-ZINN PEWTER 10" DINNER PLATE -

SCALLOPED INTERIOR & EXTERIOR RIM -- 19809s

I have always been smitten by Pewter so when I was in Europe in the 1980s, I couldn't resist this 10" Dinner Plate acquired from a store specializing in Pewter, it features a fancy scalloped interior and exterior rim with a raised design referred to as Castle Queen Anne good.

There are 2 Hallmarks as the photos indicate. One has the words Gilde-Zinn etched into the back near the center. Etched under that is the motif of an Angel with a sword in one hand and a Scale of Justice in the other. Next to the words Gilde-Zinn is the number 95% referring to the high content of pewter used to make the plate.

There is also a black and red label that says Gilde-Zinn above the image of a bearded man holding a large beer stein with a rolled scroll on either side.
Measurements are approx. 10" side to side and 7/8" high.
