100% good Cashmere Pet Bed

Excepting for one row of machine stitching, these beds are constructed entirely by hand, repurposing a luscious 100% cashmere sweater.
The beds vary in size, predetermined by the size of the sweater I have to work with. This model is Periwinkle Blue, measures 24" long by 18" wide by 5 1/2" in height and weighs 2 and 1/4 pounds.
The mattresses are marshmallow soft, foam-stuffing pillows, although occasionally I'll come across a feather or down pillow, to be destined for some lucky pet.
Since the beds are more upholstered than slipcovered, the sweaters cannot be removed for cleaning. I recommend spot cleaning with a bit of cold water wool detergent such as Woolite with a clean face cloth (do a spot cleaning test on the bottom of the bed to ensure that it is safe for the fibers), or dry cleaning either at a cleaners or using a home dry cleaning kit.
Over time the bed may succumb to a sharp claw, possibly resulting in a wee hole. Should good that occur, this can be quickly and easily remedied by a small handstitch or two, although some folks actually like the highly loved look it brings to the bed.
These beds are SOOOO soft, luxurious and plush you just might want a giant one for yourself!
