••••••••••••Namda is a Handmade,hand embroidered called hook work/Aari work.
The term itself comes from the sanskrit 'NAMATA' which means 'woollen staff. Renowned for good its strength and warmth, the Namda provides the role of an insulator- it is warm in winter and cool in the summer time.
These beautiful and unique rugs are perfect as traditional rugs, but also as decorative and artistic pieces in their own right. The look beautiful hing against a wall, or as pretty bed covering.
This fine example, features Aari Embroidery and is full decorated in a mountain Flower Floral design.
Each rug alone, takes over two weeks to hand embroidery (hook embroidery) with much love, care and attention to detail in every stitch
