French Upholstery fabric blue shirting fabric striped good material

What a lucky find! I've just returned from France on a buying trip and I was lucky to come across a family selling off fabric remnants from their grandfathers clothing factory! The fabric dates from around the 1960's she said. This cloth feels to me like a rayon / wool blend ?? Difficult to say exactly , perhaps just a heavy wool ? The weave is a chambray weave, with white weft and blue warp! The tone is pale blue, the close up photograph is the true tone, the other photographs are a bit off in blue, the close up is perfect. ~ Gorgeous . ( a bit of interesting note : Rayon was invented in 1846!~ ) This fabric is a plain weave, dense and high quality. ~ This fabric is ideal for upholstery, clothing, summer suiting, pillows , etc


This lovely fabric measures : 61 inches by 67 inches ~

CONDITION : This gorgeous fabric is in as found, unwashed, unused condition. LOVELY condition good
