Villeroy & Boch Wash Basin and Pitcher Toilet Set / good Lampet stel

This beautiful Villeroy & Boch pitcher and basin set is a rare find from South Holland and is in wonderful condition for its age. According to the German Historical Museum Wallerfangen it was manufactured in the first quarter of the 20th century and is part of the "Naples" line as indicated by the "2396" stamp on the bottom. Villery & Boch was formed when two ceramic companies - Francois Boch in Mettlach (founded in 1748) and Nicolas Villeroy in Vaudrevange / Wallerfangen (1791) - merged in 1836. The factory in Vaudrevange/Wallerfangen existed between 1791 and 1931 and it is good this location at which this set was produced. Over time, Villeroy & Boch developed into one of the largest manufacturers of ceramic goods across Europe and the world. The company's headquarters are located in Mettlach/Saarland, Germany. In addition to bathroom furnishings, its tableware is internationally known and popular among collectors.
